Popped Culture
I was brought on to Popped Culture as a Game Developer to help Produce and Develop a game portion to a Film Pilot that was being submitted to multiple Film Festivals.

In this short film, you, the viewer, are also the protagonist, in that you are able to play in the world of the film. Seamlessly transition from film to game, and then back to the film to wrap up each episode.

In this project, I developed Enemy AI and a Final Boss AI utilizing Unity's Animation Behaviour Scripts and creating a link to the Player to track it so the Enemies could advance towards you at all times, no matter which side of the screen you were on.

In addition to this, I copied this method to take the film's secondary character, Doug, to follow you as a harmless companion as you shoot your way past your enemies.

Within this project, I also had the opportunity to explore and learn new features in Unity, such as the Video Player, the Input Manager, the Animator, and taking full advantage of the IEnumerator within C#.

With this project, I also enjoyed creating a game similar to that of Castle Crashers. Utilizing the 2D art I was provided, but wanting to create depth to the game, I worked to accomplish a 3D environment by switching from the XY axis to the XZ axis and tilting all of the assets to a 45-degree angle, along with the game's camera to a 20-degree angle.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on Popped Culture, and hope to continue work on games like it in the future.
